[New paper]: Towards airborne laser-induced breakdown spectroscopy: A signal recovery method for LIBS instruments subjected to vibrations

https://doi.org/10.1016/j.sab.2022.106391

  • Drone vibrations spread LIBS impacts across the sample surface.
  • Measurements are unreliable as they mix information from many spots.
  • The spot positions can be obtained from sample images in sync with the laser.
  • Regions of interest in the sample are used to assess resolution and uncertainty.
  • Spatial resolution is 40 μm per meter to the sample for vibrations up to 12 cm·s−1.
